Role Overview
Responsible for hands-on backend and API testing, test automation development, and leading/mentoring team members.
Must be capable of working independently, contributing to QA strategy, and providing technical leadership.
Interview Process
Virtual screening round.
Onsite interview (decision-making round).
Strong candidates may be selected after a single round, but onsite attendance is mandatory for final selection.
Leadership & QA Responsibilities
Lead the creation of test plans, test strategies, and test criteria.
Mentor and provide technical guidance to onshore and offshore QA engineers.
Review automation code and pull requests, ensuring QA best practices are followed.
Develop automation scripts for continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD).
Coordinate with product owners and developers to resolve issues, enhancements, and ensure requirements are met.
Perform exploratory and manual testing as required.
Lead QA process improvements and enforce testing standards and methodologies.
Technical Skill Requirements
Mandatory Skills:
Strong Java development skills with coding proficiency.
API testing experience (RESTful services).
Backend testing expertise with full-stack and integration testing experience.
Experience in code/PR reviews and ability to participate in coding challenges.
Proven experience in automation framework design, developing test scripts, test cases, and test data.
Ability to write queries in SQL or other relational databases.
Performance testing experience (JMeter or equivalent).
End-to-end system integration testing experience.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
Experience with Karate DSL (preferred but not mandatory).
Hands-on experience with Python.
Familiarity with TDD, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps tools (Jenkins, Git).
Experience with API gateways (e.g., Apigee).
Understanding of microservices architecture.
Experience with AWS cloud services and backend testing on AWS.
