What it collects
The normalized active-tab hostname, attribution timestamps and extension/protocol version. Policy-allowed download metadata is processed only when the released feature is enabled and disclosed.

What it excludes
No page content, page title, URL path, query parameter, search term, form value, typed text, password, cookie, background-tab history, message or file content.
- No camera, microphone or live video
- No content from inactive browser tabs
- No direct transmission to advertising services

Tabs permission
Used to identify the active tab and reduce its URL to a hostname such as microsoft.com. The path and query string are not retained.

Native messaging
Used to pass the normalized hostname to the authenticated Varajen Time native application installed on the same Windows device.

Data flow
Active browser tab to normalized hostname to local native host to encrypted endpoint queue to tenant-scoped Varajen API.
